Growing up, I was deeply inspired by my late mother, Caroline Oladuti Fayoriju. She was a determined woman who worked tirelessly to ensure that my sister and I had the best opportunities and succeeded in life. Her dedication often meant we faced financial struggles, and I vividly remember moments from my school days when my name would be called out at assemblies due to unpaid school fees.
Reflecting on my upbringing and the hurdles we overcame; I realized the strength and resilience my mother embodied. She was a remarkable woman who, despite the odds, raised us to stand on our own.
My mother was not only resilient but also focused, disciplined, and hardworking. She had dreams she could not fulfill due to a lack of resources. She made countless sacrifices to ensure we could pursue our education and achieve our dreams. This inspired me to start a foundation in her honour, to support single parents in their journey of raising children, just as my mother did.
